Friends Church Sabatia Eye Hospital is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1996 through the efforts of the local community, led by Hon Musalia Mudavadi,C BM International, the Lions Club of Germany MD, District 111MS and Lions Club of Kisumu,the Government of Kenya and Friends Church Vokoli. It is registered as a company limited by guarantee. It is the only independent referral center for eye care for both adults and children in the Western part of Kenya with an estimated population of 15million people
