Introduction to our services
The purpose of establishing the hospital was to provide eye care to the region in order to improve accessibility and affordability for eye care services. The Hospital serves an estimated catchment population of over 10 million people in the three provinces. It provides services to the immediate community, the wider western region of the country and as recent as 2006; it has been serving as a base for eye care service delivery to the people of South Sudan.
It is the only independent referral center for eye care both for adults and children in Western Kenya with adequate infrastructure and manpower that can provide quality and quantity eye care services to various communities in this region.
We offer the following services

Outpatient Services (Clinic Services)
Friends Church Sabatia Eye Hospital has a number of clinic for consultation, before patients are seen they go through the registry point, we have the best latest registry point, a vast and comfortable waiting bay, introduced a software to store our records for quick accessing and retrieval of patients files.
The hospital has four consultations stations well equipped and manned by relevant personals, a well equipped optical workshop. The clinics have state of the art medical machines like slit lamp, spacious consultation space, and well coordinated flow of patients.

Ward Services
Friends Church Sabatia Eye Hospital has a 33 bed capacity, plus a private room. The ward is always open 24/7 days in the year. the ward is headed by a ward in charge nurse.
Theater
We have two types of theater minor and major. Here we do all the operation, We also have a teaching microscope, the theater has several medical machines like the latest phaco Laurette machine.

Low Vision
Sabatia Eye Hospital boasts of having a low vision department that manages blind children in the entire western region part of Kenya. We have well trained manpower and Low vision also offers rehabilitation services.
