Our Semiannual Nursing staff rotation takes effect this month. Lonah Mbaya who was heading Theatre department moves to the Out-Patient Department. She will be assisted by Jane Osango who has also moved from Theatre.Florence Wanyama who was heading the outpatient department will for the next six Month head the Ward department assisted by Lilian Eboso. Mercy Mbaya on the other hand has been moved from Ward department to head Theatre department assisted by Daisy Wasilwa.

Sabatia Eye Hospital is committed to making quality affordable eye care services accessible to the people. At Sabatia we are out to contribute to the reduction of avoidable blindness cases in the region and the country as a whole. Last weekend 11th to 12th June 2021 Sabatia eye Hospital in Collaboration RCEA Plateau Mission Hospital held a successful surgical camp. During the camp, One hundred and thirty-six (136) Patients with different eye conditions were treated out of which thirty-two (32) patients were operated on. Our appreciation goes to Plateau Mission hospital, for sharing in our Vision and the kind people of Uasingishu County for their cooperation and support.

Sabatia Eye Hospital team Performing Surgery at Plateau Mission Hospital


The second intake of the Ophthalmic skills upgrading (OSUC) students will report on 23rd May 2021. The Course which equips trainees to offer basic diagnosis and management of eye diseases will run for 12 week from May 23rd 2021 to September 13th 2021. Eleven health care workers from   Kilifi, Tharaka Nithi, Meru, Uasingishu and Kericho Counties have been invited for the training. Our next will be from 5th September 2021 to 26th November 2021.To qualify for the training, one must be a nurse, a clinical officer or with a comparable health care training.
